Twitter Opens Office in Hong Kong,. Twitter officially opened a branch office in Hong Kong today, Tuesday (10/03/2015), although the social networking Chinese government blocked. The news reported the South China Morning Post that the Twitter office in Hong Kong will serve as the regional headquarters for China's Twitter and surrounding areas.
Twitter said, the Chinese government blocked their service, Twitter still trying to help people and businesses of China and surrounding areas to be able to connect globally.
"Our main target is a big company in China and the surrounding area who want to connect globally through our social networks," said Shailesh Rao, Vice President Asia Pacific Twitter. "We believe that Twitter can be a platform that they can be interconnected globally."
Until now, Twitter Hong Kong are currently recruiting employees to be placed in various positions, among which was an account executive, and media partnership manager. Furthermore, Twitter aims to recruit some famous figures in the world of entertainment, and media figures in the region.
This is the second time Twitter opened an office in the region this month. Previously, Twitter had opened branches in Jakarta, precisely in the area SCBD Jakarta, last week.
