YouTube Android Applications Can Now Streaming Video 360 Degrees,. Last weekend, Google announced a new feature on the mobile Android YouTube app. This feature supports the user to play video 360 degrees, which displays all the images on the recording angle.


Google is working with several manufacturers and developers camera 360 degrees including bublecam, 360cam Giroptic, Alie IC Real Tech, Kodak Sp360 and RICOH Theta. Google's goal in collaboration with some of these companies is that this feature could be compatible with the video recordings of 360 degrees when uploaded and played.

For a while, the uploader need to manually add the script metadata for 360 degree video uploaded. Google hopes in the future of this process can be done automatically.


Streaming video 360 degrees on Android mobile devices, users simply move the device in any direction to locate the desired angle. This feature utilizes the existing accelerometer on the device to find the angle. While this feature is only available for Android mobile applications, may also be available on mobile devices iOS.
